Account Executive – Maltman International

Responsible for domestic business development & account management for the Canadian division of Maltman International. Serves as the main point of contact for prospects & clients, responsible for sales growth, client retention by leveraging existing and new contacts in the domestic market.

General

  • Lead Sales activity for Maltman and some related activities for CRU GROUP
  • Acts as the primary point of contact to the client
  • Self-sourcing leads and securing new business opportunities
  • Contacting leads and conducting business meetings with new prospects
  • Attends applicable approved industry events to represent the company
  • Develop and spot opportunities with existing and new customers
  • Preparing and conducting customer visits, calls, presentations, negotiations and contracts
  • Leads the proposal and RFP process for Maltman
  • Create and manage a sales plan and execute that plan to success;
  • Ensure revenue growth, meet or exceed company sales goals and targets;
  • Produce a sales activity report for management on a monthly basis summarizing activities and new revenue opportunities
  • Other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time by the Company.
  • Position has the opportunity to possibly expand into
    • More of a wider and balanced role between Maltman and CRU Canada
    • Sales leader managing others if Canadian Team is established (from individual contributor to team leader)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong, proven sales skills
  • Deep network of industry contacts in all markets
  • Strong claim knowledge, particularly in the specialty market.
  • Ability to positively influence staff, peers, colleagues, and clients
  • Exceptionally strong collaboration skills
  • Effectiveness in leadership & sales, including proven success in leads/ sales conversion
  • Advanced knowledge of insurance industry/ trends
  • Ability to identify, analyze & provide business-case solutions to complex problems.
  • High customer service standards
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed
  • Strong & proven analytical capabilities that support achievement of targets set by management.
  • University degree/College diploma & CIP designation preferred
  • Minimum ten years’ experience in business development ideally in the insurance industry
