Kyle Winston, CEO of CRU GROUP, today announced the promotion of Mr. Jim Rich to lead two new specialized divisions within CRU’s market-leading Catastrophe Response organization – Flood Response and Wildfire Response. These new divisions complement the core Wind/Hail/Hurricane Response and follow on from the successful launch last year of CRU’s Environmental Response Group.

Kyle Winston, President and CEO of CRU GROUP, confirmed today that the company has already deployed key personnel to Anchorage, Alaska to assist two carriers with Earthquake adjusting services. “After years of Earthquake Response Planning for Canadian P&C companies, we have now been engaged by two US carriers to assist after the 7.0 earthquake that affected Anchorage and the surrounding areas. CRU was asked to assist in the rapid and accurate assessment of commercial structural damage.”

Launched only 14 days ago, the new CRU VUE Roof Image Program is currently running 8 separate two-person teams across Ontario and will be adding another 4 teams in the coming week. Since initial roll-out, CRU VUE has already processed over 1000 claims providing high definition imagery without climbing roofs.
